2020 Vin Gris

The 2020 Vin Gris was made from the Pinot Noir grapes planted from the Banfield Vineyard Pinot Noir block. From 2017 - 2020, the winemaking team decided to make a small amount of white Pinot Noir in these few vintages only. The Banfield site, being a cool pocket of the Russian River Valley, had ideal conditions for the Vin Gris. This is because the fruit retained a good level of acidity and didn't end up being overtly fruity. When the grapes were harvest and brought to the cellar, the juice from the Pinot Noir grapes was separated from the skins immediately. The juice then was fermented in neutral French Oak barrels before bottling. Drink now.
